West Bromwich Albion were too good for Aston Villa on Saturday.

West Brom boss Darren Moore spoke to reporters after his side’s fine 2-0 win away at Aston Villa on Saturday, and shared what pleased him most about their performance, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail.

The Baggies now sit in fourth spot in the Championship table, just four points adrift of second placed Sheffield United, and they have a game in hand over Chris Wilder’s side.

West Brom have lost just one Championship game since January 1st, and Moore’s side seem to be in a great position from which to make a sustained push for automatic promotion between now and the end of the season.

And if the Black Country outfit continue to put in performances like they did against the Villans, they will have every chance of gaining promotion.

Moore spoke to reporters after the game at Villa Park, and shared what made him so happy about his side’s performance, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail:

“To score two goals at Villa Park is no easy feat. But also to keep a shut-out here, there’s not many teams will come here in the Championship and keep a clean sheet. That’s probably what’s most pleasing as a former centre-half myself. You always take joy and pride in clean sheets.”

Next up for West Brom is a trip to Queens Park Rangers tomorrow night before they play host to Sheffield United on Saturday, and a return of six points from those outings would put them in a really strong position.
