Newcastle United and Torino were reportedly interested in West Bromwich Albion’s Kieran Gibbs.
Gibbs joined West Brom from Arsenal in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Express & Star to be worth £5 million.
The 29-year-old left-back made 32 starts and one substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Baggies last season, according to WhoScored.
West Brom got relegated from the Premier League at the end of the 2017-18 campaign, and manager Moore has suggested that he is surprised that no club sign him in the summer transfer window.
Moore told The Express & Star about Gibbs: “He’s a very good player. We know what his professional career to date is and where he’s been so he’s a proven good player.
“What others deem not good enough for them is certainly good enough for West Bromwich Albion and long may Kieran continue to show that good form that he’s in at the moment and to keep that consistency going.”
The West Brom manager added: “He’s a great player, Kieran, and he’s a player that, with what we’re doing here, he’s bought into it and he’s shown his adaptability. As an individual he’s enjoying his football so long may that continue.”

Gibbs was linked with moves away from West Brom in the summer transfer window, with Italian club Torino and Premier League side Newcastle United reported to be interested in the 29-year-old left-back.
In July 2018, Gianlucadimarzio.com claimed of Torino’s interest in the former Arsenal man, while The Daily Mail in August 2018 (Transfer Live blog, 16:51, August 2, 2018) reported that Newcastle were taking an interest in him (click here to read more).
