Oliver Burke has barely featured for West Bromwich Albion at all this season.

Darren Moore has suggested to the Birmingham Mail that Oliver Burke will get his chance at West Bromwich Albion.

Burke has struggled for game time this season, after what was a disappointing first campaign at the Hawthorns last time out.

The arrival of Bakary Sako adds even further competition for places in West Brom’s attack.

And Moore said: “We’ve got a squad of players competing in a competitive division. There’s still another 36 league games to go.

“It’s a really tough gruelling season ahead and we’ve got a busy period coming up and we’ve still got the FA Cup too.

“When you look at that, it’s still a long way to go and we need to call upon our squad of players. In terms of those two players [Sako and Burke], they’re in the thick of the squad. I want them fit so if called upon they’re ready.”

Burke’s time at West Brom has been a big disappointment so far, as he has just not lived up to expectations.

The 21-year-old has failed to make much of an impact at all at the Hawthorns, with his performances often criticised.

Despite Moore’s words, it is tough to see just how Burke will manage to break into West Brom’s team in the immediate future.

The Baggies have looked a huge danger going forward, and Moore is unlikely to want to tinker with his attacking line-up too much.
