West Bromwich Albion are likely to be busy during the January transfer window.

West Brom boss Darren Moore spoke to reporters today about his side’s start to their 2018/19 Championship campaign, and admitted that preparations for the January transfer window have already begun at the Hawthorns, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail.
The Baggies have made an incredibly inconsistent start to their campaign, winning seven and losing five of their opening 16 league outings, and they currently sit in seventh spot in the table, although they are only five points off top spot.
Moore will surely be looking to bolster his ranks in January, in an effort to give his West Brom squad a boost, and provide more competition for places at the Hawthorns.
There is a new system in place at West Brom regarding the process of identifying transfer targets.
Technical director Luke Dowling and new head of recruitment Ian Pearce will identify potential targets and they will present their findings to Moore.
The Baggies boss spoke to reporters and outlined that plans are already afoot to strengthen the squad in January, as quoted by the Birmingham Mail:

“It starts around about now for January. We need to move that on so it’s good to have both men in. Initially we’ll be looking at January and spotting personnel out there that can enhance us as a team and the club as a whole. All three of us will come into agreement, along with the owners of the football club, to identify key personnel.”
West Brom will undoubtedly need to improve between now and the end of the season, if they are to gain promotion back to the Premier League.
