Lyon comes from a Rangers supporting family and was on the books at Ibrox as a kid.

Darren Lyon says he has no regrets about leaving Rangers, after he returned to haunt his old side at Ibrox on Saturday.
Lyon, who scored Hamilton’s decisive second goal in a 2-0 win for the visitors, comes from a Rangers’ supporting family and was on the club’s books as a kid.
However, when Hamilton came calling during his time in the Glasgow side’s Under-23s, the midfielder was left with a difficult decision to make.
“It is nice to come back and score but more importantly we got the three points,” Lyon told the Scotsman. “I wasn’t getting enough game time [at Rangers], I was pretty small and I was only getting half an hour here and there and I wanted to get out and play football. Hamilton came in for me and it was the best option because I knew they gave youngsters a chance and it’s paid off.
“I think I made the right decision to come to Hamilton. I needed to go out and play football. I don’t hold grudges or anything. My dad had chats with Rangers about me playing, but they are happy to see me playing football. Dad supports me, like all dads, but he is a Rangers fan.”

Ex-Rangers winger David Templeton was Hamilton’s other protagonist at Ibrox, putting his side in front shortly after half-time, before Lyon struck late on.
Templeton left Rangers in June 2016, after an injury-hit final season in Glasgow. However, he appears to have rebuilt his career at New Douglas Park, after scoring four goals and creating another three in 13 league and cup outings this season.
The result, which was Graeme Murty’s first since taking temporary charge, leaves Rangers fourth in the Premiership standings, a point behind Hibernian, on whom they have a game in hand.
