Southampton have signed Norwich City’s Nathan Redmond.

Former Norwich City player Darren Huckerby has taken to social networking site Twitter in order to send winger Nathan Redmond a message following his switch to Southampton.
As confirmed by the club’s website today, the Saints have completed a deal for former England U21 international for a fee reported by the Mirror to be in the region of £11 million.

Redmond ends a three-year spell at Norwich, and not many supporters at Carrow Road can begrudge the exciting winger the opportunity to stay in the Premier League after the club’s relegation.
Taking to social networking site Twitter, Huckerby has wished the former Birmingham City man well and insisted Southampton have got a quality young player with plenty of potential.
The Saints, currently manager-less after Ronald Koeman’s decision to move to Everton, boast plenty of talent in the final third and it will be interesting to see if Redmond can establish himself as a regular.

The 22-year-old made 35 Premier League appearances last term, scoring six goals and adding a further three assists.
Norwich will look to use the money received from the fee to re-invest in their squad as boss Alex Neil looks to secure a second promotion from the Championship in three seasons.
