Darren Bent has said on talkSPORT (4:25pm, March 10, 2023) that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta would improve Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker made the comments about Mount while discussing the future of the Chelsea and England international midfielder.
Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle United all have been linked with the 24-year-old.
While Bent does not think that Mount would get into the Arsenal starting lineup, he believes that the Chelsea player would get better under manager Arteta.
Earlier this month, The Mirror reported that Liverpool are in pole position for Mount, who is in talks with Chelsea over a new deal.
An earlier report in The Daily Mail claimed that Liverpool are determined to sign Chelsea midfielder Mount and are pushing hard to get a deal done.
Contract talks between Mount and Chelsea are not going well.
The 24-year-old is on £80,000 per week as salary, and he reportedly wants £240,000 per week.

Darren Bent on Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount
Bent said about Mount: “Ten Hag would improve him. Arteta would improve him.”
Transfer unlikely to happen
We do not think that Arsenal will want or get Mason Mount from Chelsea.
The Gunners are well stocked in the middle of the park at the moment.
And even if Arsenal do try to sign another midfielder in the summer of 2023, they are unlikely to be able to convince Chelsea to sell Mount to them.
And even if Chelsea are willing to sell Mount to Arsenal, we believe that the Blues will ask for a massive transfer fee that the Gunners may not be willing to pay.
