Darren Bent has said on talkSPORT (7:05pm, June 26, 2022) that he would like Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to sign Marc Cucurella from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
The Arsenal-supporting former Tottenham Hotspur striker believes that the Gunners need to sign two new full-backs this summer.
Bent has said that he would love to see Arsenal sign 23-year-old Spain international left-back Cucurella from Premier League rivals Brighton.
However, the talkSPORT pundit has added that he knows that Arsenal will not be able to sign the former Barcelona prospect.
Bent said on talkSPORT (7:05pm, June 26, 2022): “I think as well we need two full-backs. If Tierney is not available, we need someone who can step in.
“I like Cucurella. I know we can’t get him, but that type to play ahead of Tierney or them to battle it out.”

Marc Cucurella to Arsenal is unlikely
In our opinion, it is unlikely that Arsenal will be able to sign Marc Cucurella from Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.
There are no credible reports claiming that the Gunners are looking to sign the 23-year-old Spain international left-back.
Moreover, Chelsea and Manchester City are reportedly interested in Cucurella.
The left-back himself is claimed to be keen on a move to Premier League champions City and wants to work with manager Pep Guardiola.
Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in Cucurella, as reported by The Sun, who have added that Brighton want at least £45 million for him.
Cucurella made 35 appearances in the Premier League for Brighton last season, scoring one goal and giving one assist in the process.
