Tottenham Hotspur are one game away from winning the Champions League.

Daniel Levy the chairman

Sky Sports pundit Darren Bent has warned Tottenham players that they will find it ‘really, really difficult’ to leave the club because of chairman Daniel Levy.

The Express recently claimed that contract rebel Christian Eriksen is attracting interest from La Liga giants Real Madrid as Zinedine Zidane looks to overhaul his squad.

Denmark international Eriksen has been a key player for Mauricio Pochettino in recent seasons and potentially losing him in the summer would be a body blow to the club.

Speaking to Sky Sports News (18/05/2019 4:35 pm), Bent, who would have come in contact with Levy during his time at White Hart Lane, made it clear that the shrewd businessman always gets his way

On players like Eriksen potentially leaving: “With Daniel Levy in charge, it’s going to be really, really difficult,” Bent told Sky Sports News. “Unless it’s 3/1 in favour of Spurs getting an unbelievable deal then the players have to stay there because we have seen it before, he won’t let his players go on the cheap.

“Also, he feels if the player belongs at Spurs football club then he won’t let them go and let others pinch them for cheap money. He’ll sell them for big record fees like he has done before.

“That’s one thing they don’t have to worry about them losing their main stars because Daniel Levy won’t let it happen.”

Tottenham concluded the recent Premier League campaign by finishing in the top four ahead of London rivals Arsenal and struggling Manchester United.

Now, they will be preparing for one of the biggest nights in Spurs’ history when they take part in the Champions League final at the start of next month.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, who finished the league season as runners-up to Manchester City, stand in their way of lifting one of the biggest trophies in world football.
