Darren Bent raved about reported Tottenham Hotspur striker Callum Wilson on talkSPORT (6:36pm, August 30, 2020).

According to talkSPORT, Spurs are interested in signing the 28-year-old England international striker from the Cherries in the summer transfer window.

The Express has also claimed of interest from Tottenham in Wilson, with the report adding that the North London outfit are willing to pay the striker’s salary demands of £75,000 per week.

Bent said on talkSPORT (6:36pm, August 30, 2020): “I am a big fan of Callum Wilson. He didn’t have the best of seasons last season. I think injuries killed him a little bit, and he couldn’t really get any momentum, but we know on his day he can be unstoppable – power, pace, can finish. I really like him.”

Stats

According to WhoScored, Wilson made 32 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Bournemouth last season, scoring eight goals and providing one assist in the process.

The 28-year-old England international striker made 29 starts and one substitute appearance in the league for the Cherries during the 2018-19 campaign, scoring 14 goals and providing nine assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?

Kane is the only senior out-and-out striker at Tottenham at the moment, and there is no doubt that Spurs need to bring in a back-up.

Wilson scores goals and knows the Premier League well, and he would be a good option to have in the squad for head coach Jose Mourinho.
