Serge Aurier got sent off for Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Darren Bent has told talkSPORT that Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino should axe Serge Aurier for Kyle Walker-Peters going forward.
The Ivory Coast international blew a rare chance to impress the Spurs manager after picking up a first-half red card in Saturday’s 2-1 win over Southampton in North London.
It was only Aurier’s third Premier League appearance of the season and his dismissal is unlikely to have impressed the Tottenham boss, who defended him at full-time nevertheless.
Kieran Trippier’s summer departure means that right-back is a problematic position for Pochettino who has come under fire for playing Davinson Sanchez there in recent weeks.
And Bent believes that the Argentine would be wise to start giving academy product Walker-Peters more opportunities in that role.
The former Lilywhites star told talkSPORT on Saturday September 28: “I agree about Aurier [lacking discipline]. I prefer Walker-Peters because you know exactly what you’ll get from him week in, week out.
“He’s always going to play well but his attitude toward the game is a lot better than Aurier’s.”
Aurier, a £25 million signing in 2017 [Goal.com], hasn’t been a roaring success in North London and in retrospect, maybe punting him and keeping Trippier might have been a smarter option.
