Darren Bent has expressed his utter shock on talkSPORT (6:24pm, January 20, 2023) at hearing that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal want to sign Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid in the January transfer window.

The former Tottenham Hotspur striker believes that it would be “huge” of Arsenal if they were able to bring Camavinga to the Emirates Stadium from last season’s La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners Madrid.

Bent is an Arsenal fan.

The London Evening Standard have reported that Arsenal want to sign the 20-year-old France international midfielder on loan from Madrid in the January transfer window.

Bent said when informed by talkSPORT transfer expert Alex Crook that The London Evening Standard are reporting of Arsenal’s interest in Camavinga: “Crooky, start again. Who? Huge.”

Wow!

In our view, Eduardo Camavinga would be a brilliant signing for Arsenal on a loan deal in the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old is one of the best young midfielders in the world and has already made quite a name for himself.

The youngster won the La Liga title and the UEFA Champions League with Madrid last season.

Camavinga was also part of the France squad that reached the final of the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Now, the midfielder is not a regular in the Madrid starting lineup at the moment, but we do not think that Los Blancos will sanction a loan exit for him this month.

Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti will surely not let any of his midfielders leave in the middle of the season.

After all, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are not getting any younger, and Camavinga is a player who could be a massive success at Madrid.

After all, he is only 20 now.
