The Derby County striker was pleased to see Andreas Weimann score for Wolverhampton Wanderers against Liverpool in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Derby County striker Darren Bent has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Andreas Weimann’s heroics for Wolverhampton Wanderers against Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

Championship club Wolves got the better of Premier League club Liverpool 2-1 away from home at Anfield in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Richard Stearman put the visitors in the lead in the very first minute, and Weimann added the second on 41 minutes.

Divock Origi scored for Liverpool in the 86th minute, but Wolves held on to register the win and progress to the fifth round of the FA Cup.

Derby striker Bent was following the match, and he was pleased to see Weimann score for Wolves against the Reds.

The 25-year-old Austria international, who can operate as a forward or as a winger, joined Wolves on loan from Championship from Derby in the January transfer window.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Anfield on Saturday afternoon, hosts Liverpool had 79% of the possession, took 20 shots of which five were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.

Visitors Wolves had just 21% of the possession, took seven shots of which three were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.
