Derby County are said to be interested in signing John Terry.

But Bent thinks that the Rams would be better off sticking with Curtis Davies and Richard Keogh, rather than bringing in the veteran centre-back.
“If they keep Curtis, I don’t think they need him,” Bent said when asked if Derby should sign Terry.

“It would be handy to have him around, but I think sometimes it can be a little bit of a burden on Curtis and Keogh knowing that Terry’s there. And even to Lampard, because he wants to go there and be his own man.
“Listen, there’s no harm in having a Terry in the building, but to me if you can keep hold of what you’ve got and bring some of these youngsters through that could be the way forward for Derby.”
If Derby were to snap up Terry then it would be a statement of their intent ahead of the new campaign.

The 38-year-old impressed hugely with Aston Villa last term, but they have been unable to afford his wages, after missing out on promotion.
The Mirror actually suggests that if Derby do sign Terry, then Davies could be put up for sale.
Lampard is yet to make a signing since taking charge at the Rams, but he is expected to make a number of alterations to the squad at Pride Park before next term begins.
