Aston Villa are set to appoint Steve Bruce as their next manager later today.
Darren Bent has told Sky Sports News, which was broadcast on 12th October, that Steve Bruce is one of the best managers he has worked under.
Bruce looks set to take over at Aston Villa, with the claret and blues scheduled to announce their new manager today.
And Bent has backed the former Hull City boss to do a very good job at Villa Park, as he feels that the Midlands side’s squad will react well to Bruce’s management style.

“He’s one of the best man managers I’ve worked with,” Bent said, after working with Bruce at Sunderland.
“I know the players at Villa, and a lot of them won’t respond well to negative criticism. Bruce will support you and give you what you need. It may sound simple, but that’s what you want to hear.
“I’m sure if he goes to Aston Villa, he will do really well.”
Bruce has a vast amount of experience of managing at Championship level, and he will need to utilise all of it if he is to transform Villa’s form.

The Villans have started the new campaign in terrible fashion, and they have won just once in their first 11 league matches.
Roberto Di Matteo lost his job at Villa Park following a 2-0 defeat against Preston North End two weekends’ ago.
Villa are currently 10 points back from the play off spots, meaning they are playing catch up in the race for promotion.
Bruce’s first match in charge of Villa is set to be at the weekend, when his new side will take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.
