Phil Parkinson will reportedly be appointed as the Sunderland manager today.

According to The Telegraph, Parkinson will be officially announced as the Sunderland manager on Thursday.
It has been reported that the former Bolton Wanderers and Bradford City boss has got the job ahead of Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth due to his experience of “managing at big clubs with high expectations in League One”.
Former Sunderland striker Bent has suggested that Parkinson would be a good manager for Sunderland.
Bent said about Parkinson on The Debate show on Sky Sports Premier League on Wednesday night (10:51pm, October 16, 2019): “Parky, I am sure, will do a great job.
“It’s a big job for him now, one that I think he deserves. I wish him all the best. He was my coach at Charlton, so I am sure he will do well.”

Good managerial appointment for Sunderland?
Parkinson is a very good manager who knows how to get promoted from League One, and the 51-year-old can get the Black Cats to a top-two finish in the table this season.
Sunderland may not have made a great start to the season, but the Black Cats are still in a very good position to finish in the top two of the League One table this campaign.
