Christian Eriksen’s superb goal against Cardiff City left former Tottenham star Darren Anderton impressed.
Eriksen scored from the edge of the box after teasing the Cardiff defence and then unleashing an unstoppable shot.
The midfielder’s goal was part of a dominant first half display from Tottenham which saw them 3-0 up by half-time.
Anderton described Eriksen’s finish as ‘class’.
Anderton scored his fair share of spectacular goals for Tottenham during his playing career so his comments are high praise.
Eriksen was at his best against Cardiff City, where he simply looked a class apart.
The Dane had an impressive 2018 and did not let his form dip despite starring at the World Cup.
He is absolutely integral to Tottenham’s hopes of winning silverware this season and this was an ideal start to 2019.
