Darren Anderton believes only one of the elite Spanish club can tempt him away from Tottenham Hotspur.

Darren Anderton has told Sporting Bet that Tottenham Hotspur could struggle to keep Harry Kane if a Barcelona or a Real Madrid come knocking, but claimed he wouldn’t “force a move” away from his boyhood club.

The 24-year-old is arguably one of the best strikers in European football after scooping the Premier League’s Golden Boot award for the past two seasons.

As Tottenham fans will tell you, Kane, who rose through the ranks at Spurs’ academy, is one of their own and last month told ESPN that he wanted to stay for the “foreseeable future”.

However, club legend Anderton believes that the England hitman could be tempted into leaving North London, but only if one of Spain’s elite try tempt him away.

“Harry’s the top man at the club and the one player they can’t afford to lose,” he told Sporting Bet.

“I think he loves the club and wouldn’t want to force a move, but if Real Madrid or Barcelona come knocking, he could go.”

Indeed, it seems unlikely that Kane would ever, say, go on strike at Tottenham. He does not seem the type to throw his toys out of the pram, no matter much he might want to leave at some point in the future.

He has over 50 Premier League goals in two seasons, but the Lilywhites hitman is yet to open his account so far in the 2017-18 campaign.
