Darragh MacAnthony has brushed aside reports that Jack Marriott could leave for £5 million in the summer.

Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest have all been linked with the red-hot striker ahead of the summer transfer window in the Daily Mail.

The report suggested that Posh would demand £5 million for the Football League’s top scorer, but it seems that the trio of Championship clubs will have to pay more.

Whether Forest, Leeds or Wednesday would be able to afford the sort of figures Posh want for Marriott remains to be seen.

Forest and Leeds have tended not to pay massive fees for players in recent times, while Wednesday are close to their FFP limitations.
