The Peterborough United owner saw his side set up an FA Cup third round date with Middlesbrough on Tuesday.

The Peterborough United owner, Darragh MacAnthony, has told a Middlesbrough supporter that his contemporaries – and Britt Assombalonga – would love Marcus Maddison on Teesside.
Maddison scored one goal and set up another against Bradford City on Tuesday, as Peterborough set up an FA Cup third round date with Middlesbrough.
It means the 25-year-old has now been directly involved in 12 goals in 21 games this season, and links with higher division clubs are seemingly inevitable ahead of the January transfer window.
And after one Middlesbrough fan suggested that his side could do with a player like Maddison, MacAnthony replied on Twitter: “He is the polar opposite type player (the Teessiders’ manager, Tony Pulis) signs Lee but yep your fans would love him as would Britt. Assists king.”
The former Peterborough striker, Assombalonga, has found his Middlesbrough opportunities somewhat limited of late and has been tipped for a winter move of his own.
But the 26-year-old scored his sixth goal of the season in Saturday’s draw against Blackburn – on what was his 18th appearance.
