Darragh MacAnthony suggests Aston Villa should move for Che Adams of Birmingham City

Peterborough United owner Darragh MacAnthony has suggested that Aston Villa are among the clubs who should be trying to buy Birmingham City’s Che Adams.

The Daily Mail have reported that Southampton are attempting to sign Adams for £8 million, but one disgruntled Blues fan suggested that bid was nowhere near enough.

And MacAnthony backed up those claims, suggesting that Villa should go for him at around £15 million.

Villa are on the hunt for a new striker, but are yet to be linked with Adams.

Smith’s side have already done business with Birmingham though this summer, with Jota heading towards Villa Park.

Adams scored 22 goals in the Championship over the past campaign, making him one of the most dangerous strikers outside the Premier League.

If he was to join Villa he would offer a lot of pace to Smith’s attack.
