Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony responds to a Sunderland fan about Marcus Maddison.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested on Twitter that Sunderland do not rate Marcus Maddison.
MacAnthony has claimed that Sunderland will not be interested in the 25-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder.
The Peterborough chairman made the comment in response to a question from a Sunderland fan about the Black Cats making a move for Maddison.

Mistake from Sunderland?
Maddison is one of the best attacking players in League One, and there is no doubt that the Englishman will be a good signing for Sunderland in the summer transfer window.
The Black Cats need players who are proven in the division in order to finish in the top two places and clinch automatic promotion to the Championship.
Maddison is a star at the Posh, and the attacker could be the heartbeat of Jack Ross’s team at Sunderland.
According to WhoScored, the attacker made 31 starts and nine substitute appearances in League One for Peterborough last season, scoring eight goals in the process.
