Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony says that Marcus Maddison will not move to Sunderland.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested on Twitter that Marcus Maddison will not join Sunderland in the summer transfer window.
MacAnthony made the comment in response to a question from a Sunderland fan regarding the transfer of the 25-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder.
The Englishman is one of the best players in League One and is an important player for the Posh.
According to WhoScored, the attacker made 31 starts and nine substitute appearances in League One for Peterborough this season, scoring eight goals in the process.
Peterborough narrowly missed out on a place in the top six of League One this season, while Jack Ross’s Sunderland failed to win promotion to the Championship for the 2019-20 campaign via the League One playoffs.
Both the Posh and the Black Cats will be aiming to finish in the top six of League One next season.

Peterborough have signed Mohamed Eisa from Bristol City this summer, and MacAnthony has suggested on Twitter that the 24-year-old forward has been signed to play with Maddison.
