Glasgow Rangers wanted Gwion Edwards at Ibrox in 2016.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has stated on social networking site Twitter that Gwion Edwards will not join Liverpool legend and Rangers manager Steven Gerrard at Ibrox.
When asked by a Crawley Town fan on Twitter if Edwards may be on his way to Rangers in the summer transfer window, MacAnthony responded with a simple but firm no.
Rangers actually wanted the 25-year-old when the winger was at Crawley and before his move to Peterborough in 2016.
The Posh signed the former Swansea City prospect from Crawley in the summer of 2016.
Back in June 2016, HITC Sport reported of Old Firm rivals Rangers and Celtic’s interest in Edwards (click here to read more).
Edward is a good winger and has progressed well at Peterborough, and the former Swansea prospect would be a good signing for Rangers.
Given that Celtic and Rangers wanted the former Wales Under-21 international back in the summer of 2016, one should not be surprised if the Hoops and the Gers make moves again for the winger this summer.
