Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony has stated on Twitter that new Rangers signing George Edmundson is not as good as Frankie Kent.
Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Rangers have signed Edmundson from Oldham Athletic in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £700,000.
According to The Glasgow Evening Times, Peterborough wanted to sign Edmundson before the 21-year-old defender moved to Rangers.
The Posh, though, have secured the services of 23-year-old central defender Kent from Colchester United.
Peterborough chairman MacAnthony has stated on Twitter that new Rangers signing Edmundson is not as good as his new player Kent.

Good signing for Rangers?
Edmundson is a very good central defender, and the 21-year-old will be a good signing for Rangers in the long run.
The Gers needed to recruit a young and promising central defender for the 2019-20 campaign, and in Edmundson, Steven Gerrard’s side have recruited a player who can be a star for years to come.
