Peterborough United ace Marcus Maddison has been linked with Leeds United in the past.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has taken to Twitter to suggest that Leeds United are no longer pursuing playmaker Marcus Maddison – even hinting that Andrea Radrizzani won’t even know who he is.
The Posh swooped to sign Maddison from non-league Gateshead in 2014 having hit 14 goals in 38 games in the North East, and he has proved to be a major bargain for Peterborough.

A former Newcastle youngster enjoyed a superb campaign last season, grabbing nine goals and a whopping 17 assists for the Posh, emerging as arguably one of the top players in League One.
Speculation has surrounded Maddison throughout his time at London Road off the back of his displays for Peterborough, with Leeds United touted as one possible destination.

Peterborough Director of Football Barry Fry even told the Peterborough Telegraph in May that Maddison almost joined Leeds in January 2016, but the move fell through.
A lot has changed since then; Steve Evans was replaced as manager by Garry Monk, and his resignation last month has left Leeds looking for yet another new boss, whilst then-owner Massimo Cellino has also gone, with Andrea Radrizzani now in charge.

Leeds may well be looking for another creative force this summer given that January signings Alfonso Pedraza and the ineffectual Modou Barrow have returned to respective parent clubs Villarreal and Swansea City, prompting Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony to ask whether there is lingering interest from Leeds in signing Maddison.
However, MacAnthony responded on Twitter by suggesting that Leeds no longer hold an interest in signing Maddison, noting that they have no manager and he doubts that Radrizzani has even heard of the Peterborough star, meaning he isn’t expecting to see Maddison heading to Elland Road this summer.
