Batth has been linked with a move away from Wolves, and Posh was touted as a potential destination on social media website Twitter.
However, MacAnthony has suggested that his side have not made a move to sign the Wolves centre-back.
Batth’s first-team chances at Wolves appear limited, as he looks to be Nuno’s fifth choice centre-back.
Batth has been a long serving member of Wolves’ team, but it seems that his time to leave Molineux may well have come.
It would be a major surprise if Batth did leave Wolves for League One though, as there is likely to be plenty of Championship interest in him.
Wolves have picked up one point from their first two Premier League games, with Nuno’s side still adjusting to top tier football.
