Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has admitted he had little choice but to sell Jack Baldwin to Sunderland this summer.
Sunderland snapped up Baldwin from Posh, after he was deemed to be surplus to requirements by manager Steve Evans.
The centre-back has gone on to make a very positive impression at Sunderland, where he has played regularly for Jack Ross’ side.
And MacAnthony responded when asked whether he regretted selling Baldwin to Sunderland in the summer last night on Twitter.
Sunderland fans have quickly taken to Baldwin, after his passionate performances since joining.
The 25-year-old has formed a very solid partnership with Tom Flanagan at the back for Jack Ross’ side.
Baldwin’s place in Sunderland’s place has been put under pressure though, following the addition of Jimmy Dunne this week.
Sunderland are next in action tomorrow when they take on Luton Town in what looks like a huge game at the Stadium of Light.
