Dean Smith could let Rushian Hepburn-Murphy leave Aston Villa on loan in January.
Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested that he has no interest in Aston Villa forward Rushian Hepburn-Murphy.
Hepburn-Murphy is considered to be one of Villa’s top prospects, but he has struggled for game time at first team level.
There have been suggestions that Villa could look to loan out Hepburn-Murphy in January, and Posh are looking for an attacker.
But MacAnthony has suggested that the rapid Villa forward is not a man who is on Steve Evans’ side’s radar.
Hepburn-Murphy has made five separate appearances for Villa in the league this term, but all of them have been as a substitute.
Most of the 20-year-old’s football has come at under-23 level, where he has been able to impress.
Villa may well have a striking void to fill in the coming weeks, with Tammy Abraham’s future in doubt, but it seems unlikely that Dean Smith will call upon Hepburn-Murphy to replace the Chelsea loanee.
And if Villa do sign another striker in January then a loan move for Hepburn-Murphy may be the best option for all parties.
