Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony makes predictions about Sheffield Wednesday and Queens Park Rangers.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has predicted on social networking site Twitter that Sheffield Wednesday will finish in the top six of the Championship next season.

Wednesday are one of the biggest clubs of England and have gone close to getting promoted to the Premier League for the past two seasons.

The Owls finished fourth in the Championship last season and sixth during the 2015-16 campaign, but on both occasions they failed to get promoted via the playoffs.

Carlos Carvalhal’s side will be aiming for the automatic promotion places during the 2017-18 campaign.

League One club Peterborough chairman MacAnthony has predicted Wednesday to finish in the top six of the Championship next season.

MacAnthony, though, does not expect Queens Park Rangers to do well in the Championship during the 2017-18 season, predicting that the London outfit will not end up in the top 12.

Rangers endured a disappointing 2016-17 campaign, but Ian Holloway’s side will be aiming to challenge for the playoff spots next season.
