Sunderland and Peterborough United are both competing at the top end of the League One table.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested that Sunderland goalkeeper Jon McLaughlin is wrong to suggest his side have peaked.
He said: “That’s a positive. There won’t be many times at the sharp end of this division thinking they have so much more in the tank. Most teams, like Peterborough and Fleetwood, are performing at their top level from the start.”
However, MacAnthony was unimpressed by the comments, and suggested that the Sunderland stopper was wrong in his assessment.
Sunderland currently trail Posh by four points, with Steve Evans’ side starting well.
Peterborough have won six of their first seven matches, with their most recent victory coming against Southend United.
Sunderland, meanwhile, remain unbeaten but they have shown signs of vulnerability at times.
Sunderland were rather fortunate to pick up a point against Fleetwood, as Joey Barton’s side missed a penalty which could have seen them take all three points from the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland are next in action after the international break when they take on Burton Albion.
