Forest are yet to agree a fee for either of the pair, but MacAnthony has opened the door for a potential swap deal.

Grant is considered one of Forest’s better up-and-coming prospects, after spending last season out on loan at Notts County.

The youngster impressed in League Two, where he scored goals and made assists aplenty for County.

There were suggestions that Aitor Karanka would take a look at using Grant in Forest’s own first-team for the season ahead.

However, it seems that Peterborough could come in for the attacking midfielder, especially if Forest do try to sign Marriott in the coming weeks.
