Aston Villa are believed to have £25 million to spend in the January transfer window.
Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested that Aston Villa could be interested in moving for Marcus Maddison.
MacAnthony was asked whether Villa were keen on buying Maddison in the January transfer window.

And the Posh chairman responded, by suggesting that Villa advisor Brian Little had been keeping tabs on the 23-year-old’s progress at the ABAX Stadium.
Posh have a reputation for plucking players from non-league and turning them into stars at higher levels, and Maddison is one of the prized assets in Grant McCann’s current squad.
The former Gateshead man has scored six goals and made 10 assists in 21 League One appearances this season.
With Villa have £25 million to spend in January, according to the Daily Mirror, the former Gateshead man could now be on Steve Bruce’s transfer wishlist.
Posh have a habit of selling key players in January, with the League One side offloading the likes of Conor Washington, George Boyd and Ryan Bennett midway through the season in previous years.
