Sunderland and Peterborough United will play in League One next season.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has predicted on Twitter that Sunderland will be favourites to win the League One tile next season.
Sunderland will play in League One again next season after failing to promotion to the Championship at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.
Jack Ross’s side finished in the playoffs, but they lost in the final at Wembley Stadium in London May.
Peterborough will also be aiming for promotion next season, and the Posh’s chairman MacAnthony believes that Sunderland will be favourites to clinch the League One title in 2019-20.

Big season ahead
Sunderland are a massive club, and given their size and their fanbase, they really should not be in League One.
The Black Cats, though, do have a good team, and if they make the right signings in the summer transfer window, then they will become stronger and will have a much better chance of finishing in the automatic promotion places.
Lee Cattermole has left Sunderland, while Conor McLaughlin has joined the Black Cats so far this summer.
