Peterborough United owner Darragh MacAnthony has said on Twitter that Leeds United are looking “very strong” this season, when asked about their promotion hopes.
Leeds are third in the Championship, four points behind leaders Cardiff City after picking up 11 points from a possible 15 so far.
Thomas Christiansen’s side extended their unbeaten run and indeed the feel-good vibe surrounding their early-season form with a 2-0 win at Nottingham Forest last week.
It is early days, but the signs are that the Whites – who have conceded twice and scored seven in five games – look a very decent outfit under the 44-year-old, who replaced Garry Monk back in June.
And MacAnthony admits it is ‘quite possible’ that United win promotion back to the Premier League, after being asked about their chances on Twitter.
Leeds, who have hit 16 goals in all competitions from seven matches, are back in action next weekend for the visit of Burton Albion.
That should, in theory, be another three points, with Burton 21st in the Championship table after winning one of their first five matches.
