Celtic will be fighting to keep hold of Odsonne Edouard this summer. The French attacker’s 27 goals and 19 assists this season have make him a wanted man, especially in England.
The Bhoys will likely receive huge bids for Edouard, and whilst they should try and stand firm, eyeing up potential replacements would be wise too.
A number of strikers have already been linked with Celtic. One of those is Peterborough United hitman Ivan Toney, amid claims from Barry Fry.
Peterborough’s director of football claimed (The Scottish Daily Mail, 9 June, page 79) that both Celtic and Rangers want to sign Toney this summer.
The Posh seemingly want £15million for Toney’s signature, which is a huge price for a player currently featuring in England’s third tier.
Toney, 24, has starred since signing from Newcastle United in 2018. He has smashed 26 goals and seven assists for the Posh this season, becoming one of the Football League’s top strikers.

Now, one Celtic fan has taken to Twitter in order to ask Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony about a move, questioning whether there is any truth in the rumours.
MacAnthony claims he hasn’t heard anything about Toney heading to Celtic, seemingly denying knowledge of Fry’s comments whilst playing down the suggestion of any deal being in the pipeline.
