Leeds United are on the hunt for a new manager after Garry Monk’s departure.

Peterborough United owner Darragh MacAnthony has said on Twitter that he would hire Nigel Pearson to replace Garry Monk if he called the shots at Leeds United.
The Whites remain without a manager after Monk – who was appointed Middlesbrough boss on Friday – sensationally quit Leeds last month.

Sky Bet quotes Alan Pardew as 5/4 favourite to take over at Elland Road, but The Telegraph reported yesterday that axed Boro boss Aitor Karanka would be interested.
One man whose name is not overly linked with the role is Pearson, who won promotion to the Premier League with Leicester City in 2014.
And MacAnthony has said on Twitter that the former Foxes boss would be top of his shortlist if he was charged with the task of appointing Leeds’ next manager.

The 53-year-old has been out of management since last October after leaving Derby County by mutual consent.
New Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani claimed on Twitter four days ago that the club would be interviewing candidates this week, though it remains to be seen what, if anything, came out of those.
