Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has predicted on Twitter that Che Adams will be a success in the Premier League with Southampton.

Premier League side Southampton have signed Adams from Championship team Birmingham in the summer transfer window.

According to The Southern Daily Echo, the Saints had to pay the Blues a transfer fee of £15 million in order to secure the services of the 22-year-old, who can operate as a forward or as a midfielder.

Peterborough chairman MacAnthony believes that Adams will be a success in the Premier League.

During the 2018-19 campaign, Adams made 43 starts and three substitute appearances in the Championship for Birmingham, scoring 22 goals and providing four assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

According to WhoScored, the forward made 16 starts and 14 substitute appearances in the league for the Blues in 2017-18, scoring five goals and providing two assists in the process.
