Leeds United have been linked with both Marcus Maddison and Jack Marriott this transfer window.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has been asked on Twitter whether Leeds have made a bid to sign both Jack Marriott and Marcus Maddison on Saturday, prompting the Posh chief to confirm that there has been an offer for both players in the last 18 hours but stop short of naming the club the bid had come from.
Marriott and Maddison are two of the most exciting talents in League One right now. Marriott was lethal last season, scoring 33 goals in 56 games in all competitions, including 27 goals in the third tier.
Maddison meanwhile, scored eight goals and provided 16 assists for Posh and, as confirmed by the club website, now finds himself on the transfer list after the club missed out on securing promotion.
In May, The Sun reported that Leeds wanted £6.5 million-rated Marriott, while Leeds Live linked the Whites with an interest in Maddison in the same month.

With Leeds only boasting one signing so far this summer, the fans may be forgiven for growing impatient with their apparent lack of activity when it comes to signings. And one fan decided to try and get an update regarding whether the Whites had made any move for Maddison and Marriott.
And MacAnthony responded by insisting that Peterborough had received a bid for the pair, but the chairman decided against suggesting who made the offers.
It would appear from MacAnthony’s response that a resolution may potentially be in sight regarding the futures of both Maddison and Marriott, and while he did not confirm or deny whether Leeds have made a bid, his answer will inevitably result in Whites fans debating whether Andrea Radrizzani has made a move.
If Leeds are not the ones to have made a move for the pair, then perhaps MacAnthony’s answer should prompt them to act swiftly as it seems possible that time may be running out to win the race for the attackers.
The Whites would perhaps be taking a risk, but their form last season suggests that they are both ready to make the grade at a higher level and could still improve further. And with Lewis Baker the only new signing for Marcelo Bielsa thus far, the pressure is starting to ramp up on the Leeds hierarchy to get some more players in.
