Mebude travelled to Russia with Rangers’ first-team last week.

Dapo Mebude has told Rangers fans on Instagram that he sees his future at Ibrox after edging towards Steven Gerrard’s first team last week following the trip to Russia.
Mebude, 17, is one of Rangers’ most highly-rated teenagers to have come through the academy in recent years, and has already earned six caps with Scotland’s Under-17 side.
He was pictured training with Gerrard’s side in Russia ahead of the Europa League clash against Spartak Moscow, but he failed to make the senior 18 and instead turned out for the side’s youth team earlier on in the day.
Mebude held a Q&A session on his Instagram page, and he delivered a one-word verdict on his future at the club by reassuring fans that he wants to stay at Ibrox.

Mebude’s future at Rangers, though, is perhaps somewhat in doubt as his contract at Ibrox expires at the end of the season. But after tempting Gerrard into letting him train with the first team ahead of the Spartak loss, he could earn a new deal.
The young attacker will be looking to follow in the footsteps of a number of young players to have broken into Gerrard’s first team, including the likes of Glenn Middleton, Stephen Kelly and Kyle Bradley this season.
Serge Atakayi is the latest name to add to that list, as the winger came off the bench to feature in Rangers’ 7-1 win over Motherwell on Sunday afternoon.
