The pair have started together in Glasgow Rangers’ last three games and appear to have become Mark Warburton’s favoured partnership.

Danny Wilson has heaped praise on teammate Clint Hill but admitted that something about their partnership at the heart of Rangers’ defence is somewhat alien to him, the Evening Times reports.
Following Philippe Senderos’ poor debut against the club’s Old Firm foes and Rob Kiernan’s shaky form, Mark Warburton has seemingly settled on the pairing of Wilson and Hill in recent games.

The duo have started the Gers’ last three games alongside one another. And with their partnership beginning to show signs of progression, Wilson has lauded the former Queens Park Rangers man before explaining what has perhaps been the most difficult adjustment the 24-year-old has had to make.
“Clint’s played at a good level all his career and people that are saying things out with, I can’t really agree with them or listen to them too much,” he said, as reported by the Evening Times.
“He’s a good professional, he knows the game, he’s a very good communicator and I feel in the games we’ve played together we’ve done really well.
“I’m happy playing alongside him. Obviously it’s a bit alien me playing on the right side with me being very left-footed but it’s just one of those things we’ve got on with and tried to strike a balance.”

During their recent run together, the side have conceded just two goals across those three games. And it would perhaps be fair to say that Wilson and Hill could not be held accountable for either as one came from a stunning free-kick while the other came from some poor decision-making from one of their teammates.
And with the Light Blues enduring a tough start to life back at the highest level, Warburton will be looking to the pair to continue to grow as a partnership as it may provide the stability that helps the side put their difficult patch behind them.
