Rangers defender Danny Wilson speaks highly of Ibrox teammates Ross McCrorie and Ryan Jack.
McCrorie has burst into the Rangers first team this season and is playing quite regularly for the Gers at the moment.
The 19-year-old is a defender by trade, but against Aberdeen at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday evening, the younger was deployed in a defensive midfield role.
The talented and promising teenager produced a good performance against Aberdeen, and Wilson has spoken highly of him.
The former Liverpool and Heart of Midlothian central defender has also revealed that everyone at Rangers is helming Scotland Under-21 international defender McCrorie.
Wilson told Rangers’ official website: “Ross is one of those players who has the attributes to play anywhere.
“You look at him – he’s quick, he’s mobile, he uses the ball well and he competes well. I know he has played there previously for the youth teams and he can play either full-back too.”
“Ross has come in, and everybody is trying to help him by giving him little pointers here and there,” added Wilson. “He’s a good footballer, he knows the game, so we don’t have to tell him too much.”
Ryan Jack also played for Rangers against Aberdeen on Wednesday evening, having left the latter for the Gers in the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old defensive midfielder is set to feature for Rangers against his former club at the Pittodrie Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Ahead of the match, Wilson has backed Jack to play well against Aberdeen.
Wilson told Rangers’ official website: “I’m sure he’ll be fine. Jacko was terrific for us the other night and I’m sure he was fired up playing against his former team.”
“I’m sure Jacko will be the same, and you saw on Wednesday night, playing against his former team, he was right up for the game, was terrific throughout and handled himself really well,” added Wilson. “Hopefully it will be more of the same on Sunday.”
