Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers defender shares his memories of the ex-Liverpool star.

Rangers defender Danny Wilson has opened up on his experiences of training with Luis Suarez during his time at Liverpool.
The 24-year-old spent three years at Liverpool where he trained alongside some pretty stellar names, including the Uruguayan hitman.

Being a defender, the Rangers man would have got up close and personal with the South American striker during training, and even though he technically never faced him in a real game, Wilson says he’s the toughest forward he’s ever played against.
But the Gers centre-back also remembers something “strange” about Suarez – now at Barcelona – and claims he would never tie his boot laces properly.

“Every day Suarez trained and you see he’s one of the best now, so it’s got to be him. The strange thing was he never used to tie his boots when he was training,” Wilson told Rangers TV.
Wilson, who had began his career with Rangers before leaing for Liverpool in 2010, struggled for first-team chances on Merseyside. He left in 2013 and spent two years with Hearts, before re-joining his beloved Gers in 2015.
Suarez, on the other hand, became one of Liverpool’s best ever players during a three-and-a-half spell with the Reds, and left to join Barcelona in 2014.
