Glasgow Rangers have impressed under their caretaker boss.
Rangers defender Danny Wilson has been speaking to reporters with his comments later published online by the Gers’ official Twitter account.
The 25-year-old has come in from the cold since Pedro Caixinha was axed as Rangers boss and Graeme Murty took temporary charge, and he will be hoping to remain in the starting line-up when his side return to domestic action after the latest international break.
Speaking about his new caretaker boss, Wilson said, “Graeme has come in and done a great job and we’re all right behind him.
“All I know is if I continue to be selected I’ll continue to do my all. My priority is here. If that takes me to the international side then great, but I’ve only had two starts here and need to focus on that.”
The Rangers centre-back played every minute of the club’s recent wins against Hearts and Partick Thistle and he could well forge an effective long-term partnership with youngster Ross McCrorie if given the chance.
Summer signings Bruno Alves and Fabio Cardoso will have other ideas, but in truth neither player had justified their inclusion prior to the change at the top.
Wilson clearly has his feet firmly on the ground and that is good news for a Rangers side that could still do great things this season, provided they get the next managerial appointment correct.
