Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck could be what Everton need to secure Champions League qualification for next season.
Paul Scholes, once Welbeck’s teammate, speaking to the Mirror (back in 2016) said, “He’s quick, he’s strong, can score a goal, can make a goal, can play left wing, can play right wing.”

That, in short, is what the England international is all about. His three years since his arrival at Arsenal have been plagued by injury problems, to the extent that he made just 15 starts in the League in the last two seasons. However, it is easy to forget what he brings to the team.
According to the Mirror, Everton are interested in bringing the 26-year-old to Goodison Park this summer and given the rest of the squad which could be potentially available to Ronald Koeman, he would undoubtedly prove to be very important for the Blues in the long run.
With the likes of Wayne Rooney and, possibly, Gylifi Siggurdson behind him, his movement, the constant harrying and hassling of opposition defenders could be integral in Europe and indeed the Premier League.
There has been a question mark over his goal return, but as he was never given a run of games at his favoured centre forward role, his 14 goals in 34 appearances for England makes for an impressive reading.
If Everton do choose to pursue their interest, and with Welbeck’s pace and direct running Ronald Koeman could play a counter attacking and expansive style which could potentially secure Champions League qualification next season.
