Sheffield Wednesday picked up an eye-catching win yesterday evening, coming from two goals down to win late against Bristol City.
The Owls have had a mixed start to the new season, after missing out on promotion in the playoff final last term.
This result was timely and Wednesday fans will be hoping it can act as a catalyst to kickstart their season into top gear.
One man who believes Wednesday are on their way to big things is a former Sheffield United forward.
Sheffield Wednesday’s Barry Bannan applauds the fans
Danny Webber played over 100 league games for the Blades in four seasons. He spoke to Sky Sports News HQ earlier today (14/09/16) about the Owls chances this season – and cited Barry Bannan as key:
“They are a good side. They proved that.
“It’s important that they pick up on the form they had last season.
“Barry Bannan has been a big player for them. He’s exciting.
“I see them going from strength to strength. The club on a whole is growing.”

The Scotland international was a revelation for Wednesday last season and he scored a screamer last night to level the scoring in this epic clash.
If he can continue to put in excellent performances such as this one then Wednesday will no doubt be up and in the promotion reckoning once again come the end of the Championship season.
