Leeds United’s Under-23’s beat Ipswich Town on Monday night.

Leeds United Under-23 coach Danny Schofield has told LUTV that he received huge compliments about his players from Ipswich Town Under-23’s manager.
The Whites are in action against Preston North End in the Championship this evening, but their Under-23’s enjoyed a superb night against Ipswich on Monday.
Leeds hosted Professional Development League South champions Ipswich at Elland Road, and took an early lead through Clarke Oduor.
Gaetano Berardi continued his comeback with the second goal, before Ryan Edmondson added a late third to give Leeds a resounding fixture.
Leeds were able to give playing time to the likes of Berardi, Adam Forshaw and Izzy Brown, who will all be looking to play a part in the promotion run-in for the first team.
Berardi and Forshaw only played 35 minutes each as they were eased back towards full fitness, but it was mostly a night for the young players as Oduor and Edmondson starred alongside Leif Davis, Robbie Gotts and others.

After the game, Leeds Under-23 coach Schofield revealed that Ipswich’s boss Gerard Nash actually gave the Leeds youngsters huge praise, suggesting they’re one of the best teams they’ve faced this season – and that should be hugely exciting for Leeds fans.
“Speaking to the coach, he was full of compliments for us and said we were one of the better teams he’s played against, so that was pleasing,” said Schofield.
