Tottenham Hotspur now have seven consecutive games in the Premier League to look forward to.

With the Champions League group-stages now done and dusted, Mauricio Pochettino’s men now have seven consecutive top flight games to contend with before they face Wimbledon in the FA Cup in early January.

Spurs will be looking for a much improved run of form in the top flight in the coming weeks, with just one win in their last six Premier League games – which leaves them sixth in the table 18 points off current leaders Manchester City.
But Rose has suggested that he reminded the players of the run they managed to put together last Christmas to try and get the confidence up ahead of a crucial period in the season.

“I said to the guys before the game, this time last year we lost to Man United and after that we went on a great run throughout Christmas and January.”
As Rose suggests, between their final Champions League group-stage game last season and their FA Cup bow, they put in a brilliant run of results that put them in a great position.
Following their defeat to Manchester United in December, they won six games on the spin in the top flight and would not be beaten again in the league until February – so a repeat of that kind of run will surely see them wipe out most of the gap between themselves and the top four currently.
