Tottenham Hotspur and England defender Danny Rose praises Arsenal and Arsene Wenger.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has told The London Evening Standard that Arsenal’s football is breathtaking to watch at times.

Rose has also said that he would be happy to play for Arsene Wenger for the England national team.

Wenger is in charge of Arsenal at the moment, and the 26-year-old left-back has stated that he would have no problem in playing under the Frenchman if he was appointed the Three Lions’ boss.

The former Leeds United prospect has also revealed that his best friend in football is Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck.

Welbeck started his professional club football career at Manchester United before moving to the Gunners in the summer of 2014.

“I’d welcome whoever is being linked with the job,” Rose told The London Evening Standard. “What he’s done for Arsenal over the last 20 years has been brilliant, the football that Arsenal play is breathtaking to watch at times.

“If he was to ever become manager of England that could certainly do wonders for the country.”

“No, I wouldn’t find it strange,” said the defender when asked if he might not find it difficult to play under Wenger. “I’m a football fan more than anything. There are Arsenal players in the England camp, it doesn’t mean that I don’t speak to them.

“My best friend in football is Danny Welbeck and he plays for Arsenal so just because Arsene Wenger has been manager of Arsenal, it wouldn’t bother me in the slightest. It’s about having the best man for the job.”

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger

Wenger is one of the greatest football managers of all time, and as Rose notes, Arsenal do play pretty good football.

The Frenchman would be a good appointment for England, but one has to ask why he would take the job in the first place.

The Three Lions have a good bunch of players, but they are not good enough to win the European Championship or the World Cup.
