Tottenham Hotspur’s Danny Rose has returned to their squad.

Tottenham Hotspur have today announced their squad for the upcoming Audi Cup – and it remarkably features Danny Rose once again.
Spurs are returning from Asia to head off to the Audi Cup in Munich, and there are changes to Mauricio Pochettino’s squad.
When Tottenham announced their squad for the trip to Asia, they confirmed that left back Rose had been left behind in order to pursue a move elsewhere.
Rose’s Tottenham career appeared to be over, with the England international becoming something of a misfit as Pochettino had his sights set on Ryan Sessegnon as a replacement (Standard).
However, with Sessegnon’s move no closer to being done, and Rose still training back at home having failed to join anyone else, the 29-year-old is back.
Tottenham have today confirmed that Rose is now in the travelling party to Munich, alongside winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, who was also left behind to join another club when Spurs headed to Asia.

Rose may now have an unexpected chance to salvage his Spurs career under Pochettino, especially with just over a week of the transfer window to go.
Rose moving out and Sessegnon coming in is growing less and less likely the closer we get to the deadline, and with Ben Davies left at home to rehabilitate after surgery, Rose could start for Tottenham in the Audi Cup.
That either puts Rose in the shop window or back into Pochettino’s plans, and it will be fascinating to see which way this goes after today’s surprise U-turn.
